The Mural Mice and what they do!!!
The "Mural Mice" are the official staff of the Prescott
Downtown Mural Project and the dedicated servants of the community. The Mice
use the medium of art to tell the tale of Prescott. Throughout the mural
process, the Mural Mice host a series of special events and direct activities
for children and adults centered on the mural process. Not to be limited to
visual art alone, the Mural Mice employ interactive games, challenges and
performance art to make the mural process a memorable and enjoyable experience.
We have found that there is a little mouse in everyone. It
is true we are small, but together we can make a difference.
There is no task too great for the Mice when we all work
together.
The Mural Mice Theater Company, a newly formed element of the Prescott
Downtown Mural Project incorporates performance arts into the mural process.
All the world's a stage for the Mural Mice who create outdoor theaters
in urban environments. Bringing murals
to life through performance, the Mural Mice Theater Company adds new dimension
to the visual arts.

Welcome to the Eager Squeaker Coloring contest page!
Let us introduce you to the 2008 Eager Squeaker Champions!
Left to right; Eric Glasgow, 12; Alex Barsness, 10; Shannon Bartlett, 12; Sara Vianella, 7; and Samuel Ward, 7.
Each year Prescott community children are invited to test their coloring skills. This gives the Mural Mice a good idea of who will be the best up and coming artists in Prescott. This years contest drew attention to the Prescott Public Library mural to be painted in the summer of 2008. Nearly 50 children entered the contest but only six children won prizes.
The contest was split into two categories, ages 7-9 and ages 10-12. First prize winner Shannon Bartlet walked away with a brand new Calevara skateboard. Second prize winners Alex Barsness and Sara Vianella took home karate lessons from Prescott Family Karate. Third place winners Eric Glasgow and Samuel Ward recieved Ice cream from Kendall's on the square. The winning pieces were hung in the Mountain Artist Guild on Alarcon street throughout the month of May.
Shannon Bartlett went on to lend a hand with the Mile High Mural and did an outstanding job. Thank you Shannon for your radiant talent and good sportsmanship. We look forward to working with you on future murals in Prescott.
